Shipping company or moving company?

What is a good moving company to use for shipping across the country.

  • I am moving from Fredericksburg VA to San Diego CA. I have about 3000lbs worth of things in storage that i am gong to have shipped across the country. I was hoping that somebody could recommend a good shipper.

    What I would do is look for a small, local family owned moving company. That is how you will probably get the best deal. You will get more personal service. If you go with one of the big well known companies you will pay top dollar. Depending on how much work you want to do yourself, and how much time you have, the least expensive way is probably to ship everything by bus, but that will most likely mean more lifting and carrying and work for you, but it could be done, and is probably the cheapest way.
