What can I bring on a carry-on bag?

  • Going to Hawaii (leaving from LAX). What can I bring in my carry-on bag? How do you suggest I pack hair products so they do not "explode" in my suitcase I check in? Can I bring snacks on the plane? Traveling with children. Any advice is appreciated.

The baggage area is pressurized so things won't explode. However, slight changes in pressure may occur. If you are speaking of things like shampoo, conditioner, etc., I always just squeeze out a bit of air, then recap them. And of course, put them all in plastic bags.
