For airplane carry on does it matter what bag it is?

i plan to take my purse and a carry on the flight with me... (the carry on is just for books and a extra pair of clothes for just in case something happens with my luggage). does it matter what bag it is? i have this pretty Victoria's Secret bag that i was considering to take as my carry on...

It probably won't be too big. We can't really tell because we don't know what airline, but as long as it can kinda be compressed down if it's big. Usually, they may have a plastic box-type thing that you can put your bags in to check if they are a good size.

No. I take a regular overhead drag case, and a bag, and my purse. I just pop the purse in the bag and I have my 2 carry ons.
