What to pack on a road trip to California?

Me and my best friend are going on a road trip to California and want to know what we should pack.?

  • Clothes wise, this is for my sixteenth birthday and we will be on the coast. Extras to bring i-Pod, Camera Help!

    Okay, I think it is fair to consider myself a professional road-tripper. I have lived in the same house on the coast of California my entire life (about an hour south of San Francisco) and the only state I have not been to is South Carolina. November on the coast here is pretty chilly except in San Diego. Please tell me where you are coming from so I can edit my answer and give you more info! Oh, northern Santa Rosa? Heck, we drive that distance 3 or 4 times a year just to get to San Diego to see our cousins, hardly a road trip for me. It tends to be cooler until you hit Bakersfield/Buttonwillow area, so bring cozy sweats for the car ride. Jeans (3) Nice tops (2) Regular tops (5 or 6) Shorts (2) Something to wear to bed (2) Undies (depends how long you will be gone for) Bras (2) Socks (same as undies) Swimsuit (2) One pair flip flops, sneakers (like Vans), and tennis shoes if you are planning on hiking at all Camera iPod Electrical chargers (like for your phone, camera, etc.) Cord to take pictures off camera (onto laptop, if you are bringing one) CDs Books or Magazines Sunglasses Sunscreen Make Up Toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, razors, tampons, soap, etc.) Towels (2 for each of you) Toothbrush & toothpaste Hairbrush I'll let you know when I think of more.

the weather is pretty warm bring shorts,but just in case bring a jacket.It might rain.hope i helped!

well seeming its hott as F out here i would bring alot of clothes ment for hott weather also dont forget this is california... WE BEACH STYLIN! ;) hahaha

If it's right now, bring a jacket, because the nights are getting a bit cold over here. Some tennis shoes and sandals. For both cold and hot days. Sunscreen. No need for a bathing suit unless your coming during summer. Hmm....that's all I can think of.

Where in California? Northern California and Southern California are really different and even L.A. and San Diego (both in Southern California) are different. Umm, and November in So Cal can be cool with average day time temp in LA in the low 70's dropping to the 50's at night. San Diego is low 70's to high 60's in the day and 50's at night. Its even cooler directly on the coast - its not really bikini weather unless you're used to November day time temps in the 50's and 40's.
