How can I keep my clothes from Wrinkling?

How can I keep my clothes from wrinkling in my suitcase?

  • I'm going on a band trip and everything has to be wrinkle free when we put it on, how can I keep my stuff from wrinkling since there will not be an iron available?

  • Answer:

Roll your clothing instead of folding it and if you are taking a towel it helps to roll it up with the outfit.

I usually put the clothes I don't want wrinkled in the middle of other clothes and lay them flat or just fold them in half, also if you take a bunch of clothing, say 5 tops or 5 prs of pants and fold them in half then you won't get those fines little creases you would get if you just folded one item at a time. You can always lay things on top also, just make sure it's just clothing that goes on top of it. Rolling is good, again roll in several items as if they get a little scrunched it's not as obvious. Have fun!

You cant keep it totally wrinkling free, but it can be limited by folding it in not to tight and to much. The less you fold them the less folds will show when you unpack it. The suit case should not be overloaded nor to much space left because then the law of gravity will make your clothes shift to1 side and wrinkle them. If you pack it properly your clothes will only show the folds you made by folding them. Success

Don't fold your clothes. Instead, roll them very tightly and put a dryer sheet or two in the roll. You will be able to fit more in your luggage this way too!

Everybody's packing advice sounds great, and I would only add this: if anything does wrinkle, take a shower. Put the clothes you need on hangers and hang them around the bathroom--it works better in the bathroom is small--turn on the hot water and let the steam do all the work. I've never had to do this before in a warm-climate place, but from experience it works pretty well in places that have a cooler temperature.
