United Airlines Baggage Help?

What are the Baggage restrictions on United Airlines?

  • I am planning an extended visit to family in April and as a first time flier I have a few questions. The flight is with United Airlines. 1. I am planning on taking my small breed dog with me. She is about 10-15 lbs, Besides all her vaccines, health check and up to date on deworming and heart worm prevention is there anything she requires?. And would it be at all possible for her to travel in the cabin with me?. 2. I plan on taking my Laptop and Cell phone. Can I pack these in carry on or do I have to put them in with my checked baggage?. 3. Is it possible for me to use my cell phone during the flight?, phone calls or even just text messaging?. 4. I heard something about internet being offered on flights, is this true?. 5. Is there a limitation to the number of bags you can check?. Can I only pack one suitcase or can I take two and a carry on?. And the final question, are there any restrictions on packing DVD's?

  • Answer:

1-For your dog , you may bring her but you have to pay a fee of 125$US and she must be full weaned. 2- you can pack your cell phone and laptop in your carry on , but you will have to put your laptop in the x-ray at security 3-You cannot use your cell phone at all, as it might interfere with the planes radio communication signals ( the flight attendants will tell you to shut it off 4- it depends on what plane you fly , i would call the airline to see if the plane you are flying on supports Wi-Fi ( Internet) 5--It Depends where you are flying if you are flying domestic ( Canada,USA,Alaska,Hawaii,Us Virgin Islands,Puerto Rico ) you will pay 25$ US for your First bag and 35$ US for your second bag you can take one carry on and one personal item such as a laptop or a purse etc. DVD- yes you can as long as they are legit ( not burned) because their are laws against burned dvd and copyrighting
