How much water can you bring on a plane?

  • It's been years since I've flown - I know there's new restrictions eff. Feb 1 - I'm flying domestic on American Airlines - can I bring fruit ? Soda (I'm guessing no on the soda) Power Bars ?

    You can bring as much fruit, bars or any solid food with you, but all liquids/gel/lotion are restricted when passing through airport security under a 3-1-1 rule. Every passenger is allowed to fill up one single quart size clear plastic zip lock bag with containers of liquids each no bigger than 3.4 oz/100 ml, this plastic bag must be removed from your bag and placed separately in a bin on the conveyor belt for screening. http://www.tsa.gov/311/311-carry-ons.shtm After going through security you can buy and bring with you as much liquids as you want.

Sct is the only one with the correct answer - you can bring any amount of liquids on board if you purchase it after you get thru Security. People have been known to bring an empty water bottle and fill it up at the water fountain. As long as you are traveling domestically, you can bring fruit. Power bars and any other type of food is allowed provided it doesn't violate the rules on liquids....

You can bring on any size water if you buy it past the security check point. If you try to take it through they will either make you throw it away or drink it on the spot. Same thing goes for sodas. I dont think they have any restriction on food though. Unless you are traveling to another country in which case you cant bring non native species of fruit.

I'm 14 been on a plane 4 times well acually five if u count the time I was in my moms stomach when she was pregnant with me on the plane. Anyways...everytime we go we usually bring one pop or juice then one water for everyone so in totally that would be six cause we have three people that always comes with us my sister and mom and me so yeah, they never say anything they Evan let u bring smoothies from the airport or coffee. GOOD LUCK!!!! :D

Don't bring anything other than maybe your chocolate bars. They have everything you need on the plane.
