What's acceptable in baggage?

Whats the baggage allowance on a flight from beijing to heathrow?

  • i think its about 23 to 25kg but im not sure and i know if you go over it they charge you loads

  • Answer:

Really depends on who your flying with. As standard your luggage allowance is 20kg however in past experience i've been ok with 26kg. Best bet is to check in asap and they tend to be less strict if your over but if your last to check in they are more likely to charge you for excess baggage. Overall - try to keep luggage down as much as you can. Excess luggage charge can be anything upto £20 per kilo that your over. You have no chance if your over 30kg - they won't even carry the bag.

I went back three weeks ago on Austrian airways and i think it was 20kg in normal luggage and 8kg in hand luggage.
