Bali, Indonesia surfing?

I need help preparing to move to Bali, Indonesia!?

• Alright, this is going to sound impulsive and like a bad idea but this is what i want to do. and i need help. I am in school and will be for at least two more years. i have very little living expenses so saving money is easy. I am only 18 and i dont want to hear anything about being two young and needing to wait. I want to move to Bali very soon after i graduate (im at a trade school but am enrolled in a college program through them) I hate America. Im not tryng to be unpatriotic but its too.... stupid? is stupid the word? i dont know. my mom bought this old kodak slide projector and it had the most beautiful pictures of The ubud area of bali and since then ive been fantasizing. But i have no idea what i could do there. i dont need a lot of stuff. i dont need a tv and computer and all that junk. so what ever job i got could be relatively low paying. im very active and a vegetarian so im thinking food would be quite cheep. I also dont know any balinese. My questions are 1: what jobs would be available to an american girl who speaks little to no balinese? 2: Whats the cost of living? from what i understand foreiners can't own land so im assuming i can't buy my own place, right? if that is incorrect how much would it cost to buy or even rent. like i said i pretty much need a room and a bed not anythign cushy or special. 3: When some people move to a different country not knowing much ofthe language thats spoken there they can do well learning it once they get there as they go. i learn fast. could i do that? or do i need to find a way to teach myself some balinese? and if i do need to learn, i have no money for formal classes. is there a way i could learn without putting down a ton of money for lessons or whatever? If your thinking about answering me to tell me i dont need to do this or want to do this, dont waste your time or mine. I want to move to bali. I dont want to hear about how impulsive this is. ive been pretty impulsive before and this my friends is not it, at least im trying to work out a few details before i hope on a plane and have no where to go and no way to do anything once im there. im asking for help. not scoldings. also, i'd like to see something deeper than links to travel indonesia wedsites.
