Can I use USPS priority mail shipping to mail a backpack in a bag that is 21 x 16 x 4.5 inches?
-
This is the way the backpack was sent to me via FedEx home delivery shipping. I can print out a USPS Priority Mail shipping label and tape it on there and tape the bag closed. It is just a white plastic mailing bag. I don't see why not? I just wonder if Priority Mail allows this (note that I am not choosing Priority Mail Flat Rate shipping, which requires a FLAT RATE box or envelope). I am trying to sell the backpack since I don't like the size/color. Sell on eBay. Thank you! The total bag + backpack item weight it 1.8 pounds

Answer:
You can, but it's highly recommended that you use a box, because a bag can rip apart.
