Airplane ride carry on liquid bag?

How big can a carry-on bag be? (airplane)?

  • I am soon going on a trip to florida, and I want to but this duffel bag, but I don't know if it's a carry on. I don't want to waist my money on it if I can't take it on the airplane. It's demensions are Dimensions: 11"W x 9"H x 8"D. Hand-held strap. Strap drop: 6 1/2". If that helps... PLEASE HELP ME!!

    dependes on how bad its bulging! its usually about the size of a medium sized duffel/sports epquip bag and has to be able to fit through the hole in the bin they have set up next to the on board plane, i have packed some pretty full ones, sorry don't know exact dimensions
