Is there any emergency document I can get to fly internationally if my passport renewal is delayed?

i have been in the same situation,and what i did was icalled the passport agency(you should find the #on your form or call the post-office or courthouse,or look it up here),told them my dilemma.They overnighted me the new passport and i received it the same morning i was leaving.They had also already issued me another one that came in the mail to late,that one i had to return.They were really nice and handled it very professionally.Take contact,and you might be able to pay extra to get it expedited.Best of luck.

You cannot board a plane to fly internationally without a passport. I would try calling your countries embassy to see if they can assist you.

If you can get them to get you a passport before you leave that is great. However, your question asked if there is something else you can use and unfortunately, there is not. You cannot travel abroad without a passport.

If you are in the US, the embassy of your country will normally get your new passport back to you in two weeks. Give them a call to check on the status and ask for an experdited service if they offer it.
