What can I bring in a carry-on bag?

WHAT TO BRING ON MY CARRYON BAG!!?!?!?!?

  • Im going to Europe in two weeks.Its a 9 hour flight. Its a school sponsored trip so im not supposed to bring any cellphones. (I will bring it just in case of an emergency without anyone knowing but i cant take it out when i get bored) so there are no electronics what so ever( ipods, ipads, cellphones, kindles, dvd players, etc) the only electronics i can bring is my camera. What to put in my bag that i bring on the plane?!?!?!??! What can entertain me if there is nothing to do. By the way im going with american airlines if that helps. when i go through security, should i take off my earrings before i get to the airport and put them in my carry on and put them on afterwords??!?!?!?

    First off, do you know that your Cell phone is compatible in the country you are going to. You will need a Tri-Band phone as the frequency used for cell phones is different. Since the flight will be overnight you will be sleeping for half of it so the main issue will be the flight back. I would pack a good pair of headphones for the in flight entertainment. You do get free ones but they're not very good. The flight will have a few movies and shows playing, depending how lucky you are on American you might even get a personal entertainment system in the chair in front (American seem to be 10 years behind everyone else on this). A book is another idea as long as you like reading.

Bring a reading book, or word search book. You can draw. Bring a magazine.

Good things to put in a carry on is like maybe a book, drawing paper, crayons ect but make sure you have NO liquids in your carry on or they will throw them out! When going thew security you ill have to take off jackets/ sweat shirts, shoes, belts, all jewelry pretty much everything but your actual clothes! Once you go thew security there ill be lots and lots of little shops and food places and anything you buy in those stores have the ok to go on the plane. Also for the ride there might be a little tv on the back of the persons seat in font of you. Just do a lot of sleeping and the time will fly by.

If you are going to bring your phone, you had better see if it will even work in europe and what it will cost to operate there and the charger has to be the right european model--so you might just leave it home. Things to do on a plane include reading (bring earbuds & you can watch the movies they play for free), games, cards, crosswords, etc.

If your earrings are metal u should take them out. U could bring playing cards (like poker, kemp, and spoons) bananagrams, and other board games. If u like to draw, u could bring a sketch pad and get pictures to draw.
