Sending parcel to the USA no tracking update?!?

• Ok so on the 16th of february in the morning i sent a parcel to a friend in the USA using AUSPost's fastest 2-4day international parcel service. Ive been tracking it, on the 16th it did all this: Label/Receipt Number: EE*********AU Class: Express Mail International® Status: Foreign International Dispatch Your item left BRISBANE EMS, AUSTRALIA on February 16, 2011. Information, if available, is updated periodically throughout the day. Please check again later. Detailed Results: Foreign International Dispatch, February 16, 2011, 11:28 pm, BRISBANE EMS, AUSTRALIA Origin Post is Preparing Shipment Foreign Acceptance, February 16, 2011, 9:04 am, AUSTRALIA Foreign Acceptance, February 16, 2011, 9:02 am, AUSTRALIA And ever since the 16th, since it left on a plane to LA(know this from previous parcel sending) ive had no tracking updates and its the 19th!!!!! Does anyone know anything about USPS and if they ALWAYS track parcels? and if they dont track does that mean their lost?! I rang the post office it would eventually arrive to in the USA and they had received nothing when its been 3days and they say 2-4days to arrive with this service!!! ><'!!!

  The USPS has one of the most inefficient tracking tool websites in the shipping and packing business world. Their web site will often update that the package is "in route" the day after the package has been received. Unfortunately, there is no accurate way to keep track, other than to keep checking with the person who you sent the package to in order to find out if it has arrived. When you use the service, it has to be going to a major metropolitan area or it will not reach it's destination in 2-4 days. As long as it's a major metropolitan area, it should arrive in 2-4 days and will likely arrive on day 4.
