How do I ship something from overseas?

How do you ship something to ensure that it arrives on EXACTLY the right day?

  • Hypothetically if you were purchasing something awesome for a valentines day gift for someone who lived far away from you, would it be better to buy and have it shipped to your house, then ship it yourself to the person, or to have the company ship it directly. And how should I do this if I want the package to arrive on Valentines day?

  • Answer:

Well its going to have to ship to someones house. If it goes directly to her then you'll have less chances of something happening because it won't be shipped twice. It might make it to your place just fine, then you'll risk getting it broken from being shipped again and it'll cost more. I would trust that it'll make it to her safely. There will be a lot of packages being shipped that week, so ship it early. Its better to get it early than late.

Other answers

Have it shipped by USPS Express Mail or Fed Ex, UPS or DHL next day delivery. These are guaranteed, barring acts of god (i.e., bad weather, etc.). They're expensive. And it's best that you handle the shipping yourself. Make sure the item is properly packaged. On the day before you want the item to be delivered, take it to any location of any of these services for shipment. Or you can use "second day" service by Fed Ex, UPS or DHL. This is less expensive. I suggest you call all the services well in advance to check their rates and regulations.
