Where's my mail package?

USPS Priority mail package problem! Still no updates with track number?

  • Okay, so ive asked this before, but hear me out, its kinda a little odd. I placed a order through amazon via 3rd party. The seller sent me a email though amazon saying my package had been shipped, that was sunday (15th) it even included a tracking number and all. Pretty normal. The seller put the est. delivery date jan. 23rd-feb 7th! But the package is being sent priority mail? So i thought, alright.. itll probably get here sometime this week! That being said, i checked daily on the track and confirm- but nothing has changed! Still says this.. Class: Priority Mail® Service(s): Signature Confirmation™ Status: Electronic Shipping Info Received The U.S. Postal Service was electronically notified by the shipper on January 15, 2012 to expect your package for mailing. This does not indicate receipt by the USPS or the actual mailing date. Delivery status information will be provided if / when available. Information, if available, is updated periodically throughout the day. Please check again later. So contacted USPS and they said they dont have the package, they only recieved info from the seller that they are sending the package. Im so confused, i did email the seller about the problem. and i dont think they are trying to scam me, they have 100% feedback and are actually known for shipping items out quickly.. just not for me i guess.. any ideas?!

  • Answer:

It sounds like your package has not been dropped off. But, when it actually is they don't always scan it. It will be scanned when it reaches the sorting facility. When the seller buys and creates the label through Amazon a label is printed out and Amazon automatically sends an email that your package has been shipped. They have 2 days to actually ship it out.

The sender has not shipped your package. They only created the shipment (label) but has not physically sent it to the ups for delivery. Contact the seller and ask about your package.

If USPS doesn't have the package then email the seller and ask them and explain the situation with them, give the seller 48 hours to respond,if they don't respond in 48 hours or if they don't help you, then call amazon and explain the situation to amazon.

The package is probably part of a drop shipment that is going to be sorted and dispatched to the delivery unit. As soon as it arrives at the delivery unit, it will be scanned.

It means that the seller hasn't taken the package to a post office yet, USPS has only recived a notification that there is a shipment ready and waitng to be in their hands.
