What and what not to bring on 17 hour flight , also what to do on vacation?

Bring some form of entertainment. Don't bring a thermonuclear device.

just depends on what all you are in to. you didnt really give any info as to where you are going other than its an island.. there are thousands of islands. just depends on whats on the island. as far as the flight.... books, computer, hand held games, mp3 player...anything of that sort.

your own comfy blanket!! it gets cold on planes. pillow u will want that. iPod, PSP, DS that kind of stuff. Magazine defently. FOOD! little snacks, nothing to make u sick or really thirsty. and Drinks, but you have to buy drinks in the airport, they wont let you go through security wit anything liquid. Comfy clothes. Cell phone to keep in contact with family.

Take a lap top, so you can keep in touch with your friends and all of us here in the Yahoo! world.

you will be suprised at how much you actually sleep on the plane. a pillow is a must! also it is great to have some type of music player and a book if you like to read. other than that there really is not much else you should take on the plane. maybe a toothbrush and toothpaste (that is in a container that meets the guidlines) also a jacket because planes can rarely get a little cold.

Can't bring: liquid ( Only keep in a bag that YOU will have in your hand) DO NOT bring a gun lighter or a kinnd of 30 pound bag (you will need buy a bag and fit those stuff it whatever thing you gonna put it in.

umm this is what i would bring, but the last time i flew was a while back so you would have to double check whats allowed on planes these days.. -ipod -diary? -puzzle -your favorite candy to munch on -take along video game console (nintendo ds...if you have one) -that should be it... its not really as long as it feels. if you have a window seat, i recommend looking out of the window. i think its beautiful lol
