What to pack for Los Angeles and must-see things to do while there?
-
Ok so for my 13th bday im choosing to go to LA california with my mom in June. I need a full out packing list (like from toothbrush to magazines to read on the plane ride) also, what are some fun things to see while we're there? We'll be there for four days. Do you think we'll see celebrities walking around Los Angeles? Also, are there any fun places music related to see? Or maybe some nearby karaoke places. Im a singer (www.youtube.com/musicbylydia) and would have soooo much fun singing infront of people! I just wanna be prepared and im not making my mom pay. We have free flights and we're staying at my aunts. Also, we dont do anything for our 16th bday. Its a tradition to celebrate big for our 13th birthday. So no hate answers...

At 13, you'll probably enjoy Universal City Studios, the nearby Universal CityWalk, Knott's Berry Farm, and of course Disneyland (and DCA). If you're a big roller coaster fan, go to Six Flags Magic Mountain. The beach, of course, if it's a sunny day. And the Santa Monica Pier. There's also the L.A. Zoo (and Griffith Park). Down in Long Beach, there's the Aquarium of the Pacific. If you happen to be into science, the California Science Center and the Natural History Museum (both at Exposition Park) can be fun, as can the Griffith Park Observatory and the La Brea Tar Pits. If you're into sports, there are Dodger games, Angels games, Lakers games, Clippers games... You won't see stars walking around much in Hollywood, but a simple way to see them is just to go to a public event where stars are guaranteed to be there, such as movie premieres or Walk of Fame ceremonies. You'll find a list of those events here: http://www.seeing-stars.com/Calendar Normally, I'd suggest a visit to Grauman's Chinese Theatre to see the stars' footprints in cement, but at your age, you're probably too young to recognize most of the names. Still, there are a few you'll know. And you should definitely see the Hollywood & Highland center, Walk of Fame and general tourist area nearby. Cheap and touristy, but still kinda fun. (There's a Disney Soda Fountain right across the street from the Hollywood & Highland Center, which is worth a visit, too.)
