Spirit Airlines? Can I take a backpack for free?
-
I am taking a trip to Las Vegas and I am refusing to pay the ridiculous price for checked luggage. I have read that you can take a back pack that fits the size requirements of 16X14X12. I have measured my backpack but I haven't packed it yet so it might increase a little. I'm sure that it won't but I'm fearful there will be some problem and I don't want to end up paying even more to check at the gate. Anyone have experience with Spirit Airlines?

Answer:
I think it is acceptable and for free..

Do you realize that of the cheap, low class airlines that Spirit is the cheapest and lowest? Be SURE it doesn't exceed their dimensions or they will make you gate check it and charge you accordingly. Scum like Spirit love catching you a "little" oversize, that's how they make money.
