Can i bring a 25 pack of ciggarettes on a plane?

i am 14 and i am going from Ottawa to Vancouver, Canada. i would put the pack in my carry on and i would not bring a lighter. but if i get caught would they tell my parents ? they know i smoke and it would just ruin the trip p.s please dont give me the speach about smoking and how its unhealthy, its my choice.

Of course you can. Airport security isn't interested in what you carry with you as long as it doesn't represent a threat to the airplane and other passengers.

You're only 14 so it's very, very likely that the baggage inspectors will pull you up on this and ask you why you have cigarettes in your luggage. They would ask your parents if the cigarettes belong to them, and then you'd be in trouble. I think you're supposed to put them in your checked luggage anyway.
