Can I bring my bike in my checked baggage?

  • I am flying Delta and have a 24 lb bike that i can disassemble and fit in my checked baggage along with my clothes (because my clothes with basically be the padding for the bike). Is this permitted? I didn't see anything on the website that said i couldn't, the only thing that would be relevant is the weight and overweight charges and stuff, but nothing that says I can't bring my bike in my bag. So if you have any information i'd appreciate it. Also, I have alcohol based ink, only about 150ml worth but is that also permitted in my checked baggage?
