Can you help me plan a trip to Europe?

I really need help im trying to plan a trip to europe but i dont know where to start?

  • there will be two people going we want to go to brazil, paris, england, scotland, and ireland but we dont know where to start we want to go in august 2007 but what sites to go on to get packages what sites to see should i buy a book for each country and pick from there ???? help me please we are 2 girls ill be 21 and her 19 when we go so we want it to be fun help us

    You're going to have to skip Brazil on a Europe trip...totally different continent. But, try sidestep.com for airfare and hotel. It searches all of the major sites (including the discount sites like Orbitz) and usually I find the best deals there. Also, go with the EuroPass to get around on, depending on how long you're going for. If you're students, you can get a discount pass. You can also book online at http://www.raileurope.com/us/index.htm. As far as the trip itself, I would have a very fluid plan so you can feel unpressured as you explore. Just kind of go with the flow (you may like one country a lot and want to spend more time exploring than you thought). Also, I wouldn't take more than a large backpack (like what you'd use to go hiking/camping) as you'll be getting on and off the trains a lot and don't want to have to battle your luggage. Just take minimal clothes and plan on washing at laundromats and stuff. If you're traveling together, you'd most likely be safe to stay in hostels, which are really cheap.

That is a lot of places to go in one vacation. I wonder how long you will be gone. Try to use a travel agency since they're experts. They can advise you on all the details, passports, visa's, safety issues, etc.

You should go to lonelyplanet.com OR buy a book (I think lonelyplanet brand also) and in there it includes day trips, monthly trips all set up, so you can see where they suggest you go to and see if you want to go there. It's great - I did it when I sent to Greece.

Well, first off, Brazil is not in Europe. But the best idea is something called Euro Pass. It will allow you to ride the train system as much as you want for a certain time period. That is what I did when I went with my pals. We had a great time. On another note however, I would be careful when choosing between hotels and youth hostels. While hotels are more expensive, hostels can be quite dangerous. So investigate where you are staying thoroughly.

Go to www.fodors.com and find out what there is to see and do in the country then go to a travel agent. Do not try to book online for a trip with that many cities. Too many things you will overlook.

Brazil's on a whole different continent, so you won't be able to visit it in the same trip, but to help with Europe (if you want to travel by yourselves), we've love Rick Steves books (you can buy at any bookstore/online, or rent from library) and his website has a wealth of info. www.ricksteves.com Otherwise, AAA travel agents are pretty good with answering questions, booking trains, and if you want to go on a tour they have lots of tour options too. Supposedly, there isn't a commission b/c we pay for the yearly membership already.
