How do I claim insurance on an international package that was lost through USPS?
-
I sent an ebay package to the UK about 3 weeks ago via USPS International Priority Mail but the buyer claimed that she never received it. It says on the tracking that the package was received and luckily it is insured. The buyer looks legit and has 100% feedback. I'm not sure how the USPS insurance policy works. Will they allow me to open an insurance claim on this package even though it says it has been delivered? If so, how do I go about doing it? p.s. it was only about $60 - is it worth the trouble?

Answer:
You mentioned it is delivered then you can't claim insurance. USPS made sure the package was delivered. You can check with USPS if they have delivered the package or not by asking for the delivery slip. They normally require the consignee to sign the receipt.
