What should I know before leaving for France?

I'm leaving to go to France with my school in less than a week and i dont know what to pack...help?

It kind of depends what you'll be doing when you're there, what weather you're expecting and what you usually wear, but here's my basic packing list, modify it as you need. Try to pack things that won't wrinkle easily, darker colours are best, things you can layer are good too, and make sure everything you pack goes well with everything else, no special outfits unless you'll need an evening gown. If you can fit more in the suit case, great, but pack as light as you can. Pants, 2 pair, and 1 daytime skirt if you wear them Tops, 2 or 3 light ones, 1 or 2 heavier ones, 1 sweater or fleece Underwear, 2 bras, 3 panties,1 nylons or stockings Socks, 3 pairs Pyjamas or nightgown, warm ones, dressing gown(very light) in case you have to walk out of your room while in your jammies. One nice outfit in case you go out to a nice restaurant. I usually bring a long crinkle skirt that goes with one of my tops, and a nice semi- dressy vest which goes with the skirt but could be worn for everyday. Shoes 1 comfortable that you can wear and walk in all day, 1 sandals or something nicer than the walk in all day shoes, 1 dressy slipper type to go with the dressy skirt. Jacket or coat, always bring a rain and windproof one with a hood, it can be very light, and I always wear a vest under the jacket for warmth. Basic toilet articles--shampoo, conditioner, hair gel, face cream, deodorant, toothpaste, etc., in small containers, you can't bring larger than 3.4 oz containers in your carry-on luggage. If you use a curling iron or blowdryer, keep in mind that US appliances won't work in Europe without an adapter. Travel versions of them are available, try a luggage store. Pack one larger suitcase, and get a carry-on bag as big as they will allow, the ones on wheels are awesome. I always carry toilet articles and a change of socks and undies in the carry-on; if the airline loses your big suitcase, you'll be fine for one night and won't have to rush out and buy that stuff.
