Are u allowed to take cans (of drink) to a NRL match?

Essentials to take to Leeds Festival?

• I'm going to leeds fest in just under a week - only for the day - and would like to know the essentials to take with me, maybe from those who have been to leeds fest before. apart from the obvious - wellies, raincoat, money, i am at a loss of what else to bring - obviousely i don't want to carry round a huge bag all day but i don't want to miss something i might need. also i have heard a lot of stories about people undergoing a massive bag search on their way into the festival, please could anyone elaborate on this because i will be bringing in supplies (mainly extra food, drink such as cans of red bull / bottles of lucozade and possibly alcohol) for my friends who are staying the weekend, and whereas i know alcohol is allowed in the campsite as long as its only enough for personal consumption, i don't know whether i can bring it for my friends (we won't necessarily be in the arenas but i won't be allowed in the campsite with a day ticket) any help?

  >You should pack: a tent a sleeping bag a pillow take a blanket and a bucket (if you r a girl..trust me it comes in handy for those midnight trips to the toilet) a torch a gas stove a camping kettle some tea bags (or coffee) and some coffee mate take munchies like sweets and crisps take a camera some warm clothes to sleep in take a camping chair take a disposable bbq some burgers and bbq food i suggest you buy the beer before you go. get cans because theres normally a search on the way in and they get rid of bottles. the limit is the amount you can carry!!
