What should I to bring to warped tour 2009.?
-
okay let me give you some information first, I'm 16 and I'm going to the vans warped tour for the first time this year. I'm super excited :D. anyway, I'm going with a bunch of friends who are 17 and some my age too. but they have been twice and this is their 3rd time going. I've already looked at the other questions but none of them have asked if it's okay to bring what I have. okay so I wear extentions, and I know it's going to be hot but I was thinking to put them into a ponytail so they wont get in the way. do you think thats alright? and can you like bring cds of bands that you want them to sign, or will they not let you? and also, the three bands that I want to see the most are the devil wears prada, a day to remember, forever the sickest kids, and all time low. how hard or easy is it to see/meet them? how can I start a convo? and anything additional to bring, or any extra advise? can someone that has already experienced warped tour before answer this question if you dont mind? thanks soo much :D.

Answer:
okay, well,i'm 15 and this will be my second time going. i have friends/family that have been tons more times and they gave me advice on the exact things you asked.so i'll answer with my expieriences and theirs. : ) about the extensions,i think putting them into a ponytail would be your best bet or maybe in a messy bun.trust me,you want them out of your face because it's going to be a ***** to handle. as far as meeting the bands go-the beauty of warped is how easy it is to meet bands.every band has a meet and greet.i would suggest getting there SUPER early because some bands will play at like-11:30am and their signing will be at noon-ish.so when the gates open, you don't have to run,but i would go straight to your favorite bands' merch tables and check out what time their set is and what time their signings are.to start a convo, just say "hi_____,what's up?" or if you have a certain story to tell them, start off with that.the guys/girls are really easy to talk to,trust me haha some extra advice would be to either bring a SEALED water bottle that you can refill all day instead of buying 3$ water or you can take an empty bottle and fill it as you get inside.it depends on the venue. also, don't wear flip flops lol i did my first time and i regretted it. um...also put sun screen on every like- 2 to 3 hours.try to get some chapstick that has spf and bring sunglasses-you'll need them, trust me! any other questions don't be scared to ask just remember, don't stress over meeting a band or seeing a band, you'll gget there when you get there. just remember to be smart,be safe, and HAVE FUN! hope i helped : ) xo,bri

I think you should bring a hair scrunchie just in case. And you don;t always get to meet bands, sometimes, thyy dont even go up for autographs and stuff like that. But if you do, dont bring cds because its too much, and a waste if their not there. Just buy a shirt, or have them autograph your shirt. Its easier, because everybodys pushing, and everything. youcant really start a conversation.

dont bring your cd's you wont get them signed. The chances of you meeting them are very very slim so don't get your hopes up. And yeah it will be alright to wear you hair in a ponytail. It makes no difference that you've never been before. It's just a long concert. I personally am going and not bringing anything but 20 bux and my phone.

Depending on where you live, it may or may not be hot. It was SCORCHING hot where I went so I would advise ponytail! You can bring CDs, sure, but be careful someone steals them or you lose them. It would be much easier to just buy one there, which they usually sell for $10 or $12 at their merch tables. It is kind of hard to meet bands at Warped because there are so many people there. You can stand in line for a signing but they usually don't allow you to be up there for very long & sometimes they won't allow pictures. You must get there early to get a signing! & they're just regular people, so just be nice :D Bring water!!!! It costs like four bucks a bottle and lines are incredibly long.

yes you will want a hairbow because it gets extremly hot outside. and please bring water cause the water at the tour is super expensive. it is unlikely that the bands will be close to you. so you might not want to bring cds. maybe wear a teeshirt for all of the bands to sign if you do see them. cds would be too heavy to carry, and can be stolen. have fun, and dont drink there. because people get gross and roudy when drunk. =] =]

Putting your hair into a ponytail is no problem. Yes, you can bring cds, but be careful that they don't break in the crowd. When you get there, go to the bands' tents to see when their signings are. That way, you'll get to meet them. It's pretty easy. Last year, my friend and I were walking around, and we randomly saw Alex Gaskarth walk out of somewhere. I don't listen to All Time Low, but my friend was happy! To start a convo, just say how excited you are to meet them/how good their set was, and whatever random stuff you want to talk about.
