What should a 15 year old girl going to NYC for 5 days in July-August pack?

Hi :] I'm going on vacation to NYC for 5 days in late July to early August. What should I pack?

Answer:
Think of the old saying, "half of what you think you need and double the cash." The best bet would be a dress or two and a couple of top/skirt combinations that you can mix and match. Black is always in style in Manhattan and you'll want to go for a trendier look in Brooklyn. Shorts are a bad idea unless you want to be immediately identified as a tourist. You should be OK with a pair of flats or sandals for the day and a pair of heels for more formal occasions. You'll want to leave room for clothes you buy if you plan on shopping. Good luck and have fun!
