Where to find coffins?

Is it common to find coffins of plastic figures in Mexican churches?

  • I recently visited two churches in Mexico and both had a coffin in open view with a plastic-looking figure lying inside. I've never seen that before in the U.S., but maybe it's common in Mexico. Just wondering. Gracias a todo.

  • Answer:

They are not in EVERY church...and the "plastic people" serve as motives...another note to that is that they are not the same people, they are different saints that churches have a stronger faith in. y de nada :) si tienes otra pregunta me dices...

Plastic figure? Are you sure it wasn't a corpse for viewing? Or possibly a statue - in effigy of some famous person?
