What is a good time to visit Mexico?

If you want to visit Mexico City there´s no specific time when there´s no rain. It can rain anytime. To visit Chiapas I recomed you to go on summer, it has the best weather.

Actually, I find the rainy season is the best time to visit central Mexico, especially Mexico City. The almost daily late afternoon/early evening rain is usually short. During that time you have the benefit of green countryside and clean air, not the usual air pollution. I spent the entire month of August in Mexico City in 2008. One evening the rain was heavy and I had to take a taxi back to my apartment even though it was a walk of only 8 blocks or so. That was the only time when the rain caused a problem. Recommendations require us to know your interests. There are two places just north of the cathedral I liked very much. The Tiemplo Mayor and its fine museum and the small church of La Ensenaza, with a wonderful interior. Around the south west corner of the Zocalo, head west. On the right you'll find the entrance to the Gran Hotel. Outstanding lobby, especially the ceiling.
