Is Mexico safe to travel to now?Which parts of Mexico is safe to travel to besides Can Cun?

  • I want to travel to Mexico but I was told being American I should not because it is not safe now.LOL when is Mexico ever safe.Just I am wondering wat parts are considered safe enough?If the gang wars are still going on I'm not going!!!

THe drug gang violence that is in the news s almost exclusively in the border towns. The rest of Mexico is safe...completely different than the border areas. There are over 1.2 million American and Canadian citizens living all over Mexico..perfectly safely. There are certain cities and parts of cities in the U.S. with high gang activity and crime rates..so you do not go to those places for vacation....same in Mexico. The rest of the country is just fine. Please come and have a great time.
