How is life in Nairobi?

Flying from Nairobi Kenya to somewhere into Mexico?

  • I have lived in Kenya all my life and I would like to do some traveling to a country that is not in Africa. It seems like most countries require visas for Kenyan citizens. But, I have heard that Mexico does not require a visa. I started to check some websites and I checked the Kayak website and I noticed that Mexico has quite a few international airports. I would like to know what city in Mexico would be the least expensive for me for the airfare. Secondarily, which one has the least flying time including layovers. I checked one of the cities- I think it was Mexico City and it had something like 3 stops to go from Mexico City to Nairobi. It had a 26 hour layover in Brussels and total time was like 53 or 56 hours. I am tired already thinking about the return flight. Please do not give to me any links that are not relevant to my questions. I do not want to hear about weight loss programs or buying cars or buying planes or buying computers. 1) Least cost for airfare?? 2) Less hassle flying time

Wow! So I went to work on this one, actually you will require a visa to enter Mexico as a citizen of Kenya. I did come across some information on Ecuador & Vietnam, not enough information to verify this. Getting there is tough, because you will need some type of visa.just to land at the connection airports, "transit visa"! ...As for Mexico, you will need a visa! Good luck!

Mary, I suspect the population of people wishing to fly from Kenya to Mexico is not large enough to generate a lot of answers. Even flying from the US to Mexico City, I encounter lay-overs, it will be no different for you. I would however keep searching on different travel sites to find a more direct route... I don't think there will be an easier answer. I wish you luck. Mexico is an interesting country to visit, particularly the Colonial cities... great restaurants, architecture, and culture. I hope you have a nice visit. ~K
