Cheapest way to use my cell phone in Mexico?? Or get prepaid in Mexico? Any ideas?

Get a prepaid from MOVISTAR México, this is the cheapest. They have different plans, like PAGAMENOS if you don't make many calls this is your best option but if you make many calls PAGAMENOS XTRA is your best option. It costs about 20 cents of dll. for 2 minutes or 50 cents of dll. for 30 minutes for every call. ok there get telcel not movistar or axtel or nextel becuase telcel is the biggest phone company in mexico you know what that means it means it has good coverage in small towns 90 percent of mexico is covered by telcel compare to movistar axtel or nextel these three are cell phone companies but there coverage is bad only about 40 percent of mexico is covered by them i amit they are cheap but if chose these three u gonna be sorry but chose telcel sim card it cost 250 pesos and their are precards of 100 200 500 and 1000 pesos if you phone is unblock good u save to buy your self another phone in mexico becuase u can put any sim into to it the tecel phone cards calling from mex to usa preparid cost same as the home phone in mexico 10 pesos a mintues and calling national depends where u call 10 cents of 1 pesos telelphones cost starting 300 pesos a cheap nokia one some cool phones like iphone cost 5000 pesos a 8 gb prepaid and so on want more info email i live in mexico

Check with the locals, depending on where you are Movie Star or TelCel will get the best reception. You can get a cheap cell phone and one of the various calling plans but be sure to get a plan that allows inexpensive calls to the States.
