What food can I take across the US border south of San Diego into Mexico?

  • We are going on a 4-day vacation in Ensenada staying at a house on the ocean. Now because of a layover in San Diego waiting for other members of our party to kill time we were thinking of doing thr grocery shopping in San Diego rather than Mexico. However, I wanted to know if I would take any heat for taking meat, dairy, beer, wine, produce across. Now it wouldn't totla more than $75 per person so I wouldnt normally have to declare it. But I dont want to get inspected and have to throw out $100 in meat dairy and produce.
