What do I need in order to use UK appliances in Japan?

What adapter will I need for UK appliances in Mexico?

  • What voltage do they use there? I have heard that sometimes devices blow because of the voltage difference so do I need an adapter that converts voltage? I need a load and saw some worldwide plug adaptors for like £1 but wondering if they are no good as I may need to convert the voltage.

  • Answer:

Same as for USA. No need to convert voltage if you devices have universal chargers that work with 115 V or have a switch to change then over. Er indoors uses GHDs with no problems there

it is a two pin you need but make sure it says central america on the box as some say only U.S.A i went to , mexico and many other places and used a 2 pin i would say also go to a good maufacturer such as antler or samonsite, paying a bit extra for a plug is better than having your hair dryers blow up which have cost you £50 as i have heard some of those £1 plugs you mentioned have faults in keep well away from them, my friend got them her GHD'S blew and that was £120 worth of hair straighters gone
