Is Carnival Cruise to Mexico west coast safe right now?

  • I will be cruising later this month on the Carnival Spirit with stops in Ensenda, Cabo, Vallarta, and Manzanillo. I was wondering if these area's are considered safe right now? Also do these places prefer that you use Dollars or Peso's? This will be my first time traveling in Mexico, with the exception of TJ years ago. Will I be able to bargain more and get better prices with Dollars or Peso's? Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

    If the cruise company did not consider it safe, they would cancel it like they have done it before. Money exchanges are done on board, you can also do it as ATMs on land. The legal money in Mexico is pesos.
