Why dont mexican schools teach about african slavery in mexico?

• I spoke to one of my mexican friends about how 20000 african slaves were brought to mexico by the spanish. And how more~ 95 percent of african slaves went to south and central america. She said thats not what she learned in school. Is it even in their history books? I know the spanish were worse than the whites in the united states so did they leave that out of the mexican history books because they hated us so much they didnt even want future generations learning about the africans in mexico. Did u know in japan they dont teach their kids that they attacked pearl harbor? They say americans bombed them for no reason. Countries leave certian things out of history. In mexico its the lighter the better attitude going on. She said that she was taught that there were only native slaves no africans and i was like WTF! Its documented so why dont they teach it.   ? just about had it right. A slave ship sank off the coast and the Africans swam ashore and lived. They were never African slaves in Mexico. Sorry, I meant Jim.
