Has anyone ever shopped in the border towns of Mexico and Texas?

  • I'M THINKING ABOUT BUYING MERCHANDISE FOR RESALE IN MEXICO AND WANTED TO FIND OUT IF ANYONE HAD EVER SHOPPED OVER THERE AND WHAT THE PRICES RANGED FROM. WHAT KIND OF ITEMS WERE FOR SELL?

    Ive been to Nuevo Progresso, Tamaulipas, Mexico the border city is McAllen, Texas about an hours or so drive from brownsville. There are alot of stores to shop at many different things. Try doing a Search on it to see what you find out. I Recomend park on the US side and walk across the International bridge, it relives all the hassle of driving into a forign country.Check the link out below.

Yes, Brownville TX- Metamorris MX. Stick with the better stuff from the better markets.. Lots of it STINKS!! but, the silver jewelry was very nice.

well my mom went and they had like all kinds of stuff!! she got me this blanket this women made it is beautiful!! i love it and it was cheap!! my brother bought a bullwhip for like 10 dollars and my sister bought clothes!!

I travel to Mexico every year and is not worth it to get cloth in the border and resale it, why because they have every thing in Mexico, unless you get Brand names for very ship and sale them very ship in Mexico. ( what they love is Gap, American Eagle, Old Navy, and some others one that in Mexico don't have.)

I shop in Laredo and the merchandise, as well as the prices ,are the same as across the border. So, you don't have to take the risk of your car being stolen, bad food, or distance. Just stay along the frontier (border) and enjoy!
