What is cheaper when traveling from New york city to Mexico? Air, Bus, boat or train?

• I want to travel to Mexico and did not want to break my piggy bank doing it.traveling on a plane is easier but more expensive So i was wondering how can i save some money?.. Which way is better the bus...a boat tour..on a bus?

By boat is impossible since Mexico city's altitude is 7,400 feet above sea level and there's no ocean next to it. There are few trains for passengers left in Mexico, none going to Mexico city. Yes the plane is more expensive but totally worth it.
