Will I get last minute deals to Cancun for March/April 2011?

• I want to go to Cancun end of March through to the start of April 2011 but it's expensive! Does anyone know if there are likely to be ast minute deals for this? Is it worth holding out? Also, I have never booked last minute so when do I need to be looking for these?

  Before I moved to Playa Del Carmen I would fly here 4 or 5 times a year. From December15 through spring break the high season has the most flights and charters to Cancun. I would sometimes wait until the last week or day before buying my ticket waiting for the best deal. No it is way to early to buy your ticket now.I say wait until the first of the year.Work with a good travel agent who check each week for prices and availability.Check each Sunday in the newspapers travel section and online. Got another question ask or contact me directly The prices always start out at the highest price and as the date nears the airline company, the charter companys, and the travel companys who bought seats will try to sell any unsold seats at a lower price. Sun Country from MPLS would start at $429 round trip to Cancun and would lower the price as the flight neared. The lowest I paid from MPLS to CAN was $79US. (2004)The most I would pay was $250 round trip. This is the truth. Last March my son and his friend flew here for $325 a piece round trip. Todays lowest fare is $340US for August 11 departure December 11 is $640. It pays to wait.
