What is the difference between the Calypso Hotel and the Med Playa Calypso Hotel in Salou?

Transportation from Playa del Carmen hotel to Cancun hotel?

  • We are going to Mexico in November and added a couple extra nights to our stay. We'll be staying at the Riu Tequila in Playa del Carmen the first two nights then staying at the GR Solaris the last 4 nights. I've found transportation from the airport to Playa del Carmen, but am having a hard time finding options from Playa del Carmen to our hotel in Cancun. Will we just have to take a taxi? If so, about how much would that cost? Any other options? Thank you!

    A taxi will cost you around 50us from the Riu in Playacar to the GR Solaris. Taxis will always be waiting out front for you. To drag your bags around on a bus you never have taken before to a hotel you do not where it is it sounds like a hassel and you are betterr taking a taxi to be safe. Take the ADO bus.. it will cost you like 4 dollars and the trip is around 1 hour to the Cancun Terminal. Then take a local transit bus that will leave you right next to your hotel, and it costs only like 1 dollar. I did this 2 years ago when i went there :) Right now i can't remember the routes of the buses in cancun (there are 2, one is for downtown and the other one goes to turistic zones/hotel) but if you want to i can search it.

I live in Cancun, take the ADO bus, they have luxury buses, you'll even see a movie. A bus leaves every ten minutes from Playa to Cancun, The bus is 39 pesos per person. A taxi will cost you much more.
