When in Cancun, can you walk down the beach and use any resorts beaches, or do you have to stay at your own?
-
Basically I'm wondering if all the beaches are public, or are they owned by each resort and only for the people staying at that resort? If I choose a cheaper resort with a rocky beach, can I just walk a bit to the nice resorts with the nice beaches, or will they kick me off? Thanks for any help, its my first time to Cancun.

Answer:
All the beaches in Mexico belong to the federal government. The resorts DO NOT own them. So yes, you can walk on the beaches anywhere you want. But you can't use the facility provided by those resorts for their guests.
