Which resort is better Secrets Maroma or Secrets Silversands?

  • Trying to decide on a resort for my honeymoon and I can not decide between the two. Has anyone been to both resorts to say which one is better?

    I am a big fan of both Secrets Capri and Secrets Silversands, but they are a bit different. If you are looking for an intimate resort with great snorkeling, then Capri is the way to go. It has less than 300 rooms and the world’s second largest barrier reef is located right off shore. However, if you are looking for a more modern feel, then Secrets Silversands is the way to go. Both resorts feature great restaurants and an excellent staff. I hope this helps! Good luck with your decision. I think you will be happy either way!

I haven't been to either, but i'm planning a trip to Secrets Maroma Beach. I'm the kind of person that does a ton of research before booking a vacation because I want to make sure i'm getting the best value for my dollar. To answer your question, it depends on what your looking for. From what i've read, SSS is more trendy while SMB is a bit more relaxed. SMB is a kind of "spanish villa" style. Both places have excellent service. Most seem to prefer the pool of SSS better, while everybody say SMB has the nicest beach with no equal. SSS has bigger rooms while being a bit cheaper. As another poster mentioned, Le Blanc isn't much more expensive and has great reviews so also another to keep in the mix. I'd check out tripadvisor.com and read the reviews there. Hope this helps
