Is there a bus from cabo san lucas to cabo pulmo?

  • Planning on flying in to Cabo San Lucas, and would like to avoid renting a car to get to Cabo Pulmo... but can't seem to find any web references to buses or other transport running between CSL and Pulmo. Thanks..

    Hola. Can I just comment. You won't be flying in to CSL you'll be flying in the San Jose del Cabo. From there you can take an Aguila bus from SJD to La Ribeira (about 1 hour drive), but there is still at least 16 kms to Cabo Pulmo. It will drop you off on the highway, and you'll have to make your own way down towards the ocean. I've had no problem hitchhiking a ride before. Are you scuba diving? Staying at a camp? Resort? Some of the tours or resorts will arrange to pick you up at the airport. But bus would be really cheaper probably like $10 each way. Cabo Pulmo isn't a town. Its a national park. What I would do if I were you (based on not renting a car) would be hire a guy to drive me out there and then make arrangements for him to pick me up. Most the guys with vans at the airport will do private shuttles. Probably cost about $80 each way and you will arrive and depart without usual hassles. First of all Cabo San Lucas does not have an international airport. You can fly to San Jose del Cabo and you will be withins 50 miles of Cabo Plumo. I have only sailed there so I will do a little search and get back to you. It looks like you may have to take a Taxi and that should not be more than $50usd. You will have better luck finding out from the locals in Cabo Pulmo as to getting to SJD airport.
