What is the role of dept of agriculture?

I'm traveling with my dog to Colombia out of JFK. Anyone know where the dept of agriculture is at JFK?

  • The airline said I need to go to the department of agriculture at the airport and can't find ANY info or numbers on the actual office at the airport.

  • Answer:

Why not call your airline and ask them? Dont forget that youll need to have the dog quarantined in Colombia, also,.. even if you have all the paperwork in the world. Here is the link for the Colombian side of things http://www.ica.gov.co/getdoc/67809a6d-d08e-4d91-bd0e-f17611927a7e/Requisitos-para-importar-mascotas.aspx I would have posted the text but some vigilante would have whined that it was in Spanish. These dogs cant be imported The following canine breeds and any cross breeds of American Pitbull Terrier, American Staffordshire Terrier, Argentine Dogo, Bullmastiff, Canary Dog, Doberman, Dogue de Bordeaux (French Mastiff), Fila Brasileiro (Brazilian Mastiff), Japanese Tosa, Neapolitan Mastiff, Pitbull Terrier, Rottweiler and Staffordshire Terrier But more than that, will your airline accept the pet? I know that Continental will not.
