Two Visas. One with Cancelled without prejudice stamp?

  • I applied for a tourist UK visa for two weeks and when they have issued the Visas in the passport there were two Visas. One with a red stamp saying "Cancelled Without Rrejudice" and crossed.and my name was printed wrong in it. and the other one was ok..and the name was also printed correctly. I guess they've printed the Visa with the name wrong first.. and then cancelled it and again printed the name correctly. My Question is will this ever affect me in the future. And does this apply as a cancellation of a uk visa. Hope to get a favourable answer. Thank you

  • Answer:

That happened to a friend of mine once but with his US Visa. He didn't have any trouble after that The stamp "cancelled without prejudice", means exactly that you won't be affected by that cancellation since most of the times it's the result of a mistyping or internal error. In your case, I assume that they couldn't tear apart your passport's page just because they messed up. So I wouldn't worry too much. Good luck
