You have posted variations of this same question at least 15 times in the last couple of months...give it a rest or find another topic. If you had actually studied spanish for the last 2 months instead of asking this same lame question over and over you might actually be able to speak some spanish by now....Better yet,why don't you just pack a bag and actually go to Venezuela,Colombia,Honduras etc.instead of talking about it and actually enroll in a school and actually stay with a host family and actually take private lessons and then come back and actually buy a spanish software program .....and then you will be able to ask this same question in spanish 25 times on the Mexico Answers board. Please stop or find some new material.

I like the Pimselur Language CD's to develop a basic fluency. It gives you a great start to get to know how to get around and ask for basic things.

Hi, Two months is a decent amount of time to study Spanish in a foreign country but if you are serious about learning the language then I would suggest a minimum of 6 months. If you can't do that then I would say that going is better than not going at all. I think Honduras is a good place to visit but from my experience there, the Spanish that you hear in Honduras is definitely unique. This is not necessarily a bad thing but I know that after living in Mexico for some months, the Spanish that I heard in Honduras was difficult to understand. Any kind of Spanish that you learn down there will be useful here but the Honduran dialect is simply not as common. Staying with a host family is a great way to learn the language especially if they can't communicate with you in English. Make sure you are in a situation where you will be forced to use Spanish and thus you will learn it better. Hope that help Nathan http://www.spanish-help.net http://www.nathanryan.com
