What are high schools like in Argentina?

I'm thinking of applying to a Spanish language program in Argentina. What are the most reputable schools?

• Price is a consideration, but I'd rather pay a little more for quality instruction. I'd like a program that offers full emersion. Any tips for accommodation and/or travel from the U.S. would be helpful as well. Thanks.

  Every country has slang and the Argentine accent should be no obstacle, everyone will understand you throughout the Spanish speaking world. I learned Spanish and Argentina and have yet to have a problem in being understood, not much difference than a Brit in the US, or vice versa. You should look at the Buenos Aires Herald (if you will study in Buenos Aires) classifieds and they will have several schools, you can go for an introduction to each to see which you like the best. Most should be within 10 minutes of Cordoba and 9 de Julio, so you could check out several in your first or second day there. You don't have to reserve in advance, and the highest price does not guarantee better teaching. 90% will be the student's effort in this field.
