• Obviously everyone is so familiar with Mexican food because it's everywhere in the States. But what Latin American country do you think really has the best food? I have heard before that it's Peru because of all the different influences like the French, Spanish, Germans, Natives and so on. Do you think it really is? Or what country do you think has the best food in Latin America and why?

  After living in Peru, Chile, Argentina and Ecuador, I will have to say it's the Peruvian food the best! There is a culinary boom right now in Peru, mainly directed by a famous chef Gaston Acurio. Even Fernan Adria (best chef in Europe) has been to Peru to taste what they offer. Pervian cuisine is ecclectic but the best thing about it is it's diversity in ingredients as Peru has coast, highlands and jungle. Try this webpage (www.yanuq.com) where you can find tons of recipes. Peru has a mixture of races, people, influences and with the right ingredients and the best chefs, you can imagine the food! In Santiago for example, the best restaurants there are peruvian!
