What are the best and the worst areas of Buenos Aires?

IS BUENOS AIRES SAFE, CHEAP, & WORTH GOING TO FOR VACATION? WHICH IS CHEAPER & BETTER? RIO OR BUENOS AIRES?

  • I plan to go to to Buenos Aires or Rio de janeiro in either the end of July or beginning of August and I was wondering is it dangerous there for BLACK American men? Do the women there like BLACK American men? I was wondering which one is cheaper overall and better to visit. Is it dangerous there for BLACK American men? Do the women there like BLACK American men? I've been around the world and I know certain countries you need to take a pill like if anyone goes to Africa they need to take a Malaria pill. Do I need to take anything to go to Buenos Aires and Rio de janeiro? What is all to do there? Is it cheap there in both places. Someone told me Rio and Buenos are like the Spanish version of Thailand and I really enjoyed Thailand; I probably spent like $200 US dollars in 2 weeks in Bangkok it was so cheap. What is the weather like in the end of July and beginning of August? Does it rain a lot? Do they have a nice zoo and aquarium? Are the people hospitable towards Americans? Where do they speak english more in Rio or Buenos Aires? I'm not a trouble maker nor I don't drink smoke, and not a party person but if something was to happen to me to where I went to jail will the US help me and be notified or is it like Mexico and Japan where the US can't do anything about it? Certain countries have laws with the US where we are protected and the US can do something for us to get out of jail if an American was to get into trouble but I forget the name of this act. I I know in July is kind of cool there and in August but is it still a lot to do there on there winter? Also, someone just told me about they have a really bad flu virus breakout in Buenos Aires right now. Someone who is from there or who have experience please tell me which one should I visit and that's worth my money to travel too.. Thanks

  • Answer:

Buenos Aires is really cheap but it doesn't really have black people so there maybe some racism. Women there are more the European type so they may not like black men. The people are nice though and make sure you know some Spanish. Rio de Janeiro is not as cheap as Rio since the Brazilian Real is strong. I would not compare it to staying in Thailand since it's more expensive. A nice hotel in Ipanema will cost a lot. In Copacabana it's a bit more cheaper but the quality of the hotel decreases a lot. At the Fasano in Ipanema it's about $700 a night. Rio is very mixed so no racism there, even though the rich people are white Brazilians. I would say it is more dangerous than Buenos Aires. Being that it is dangerous try not to be too American since that just calls for robberies. Just say your like Dominican or from Guyana.
