What are the 3 most major rivers in Colombia?

  • I already have the Magdalena and the Cauca Rivers. What's the next major river? Also, are the ones I even have correct? I need the three top rivers ASAP. Please. I've searched all over in books and the internet and I can't find the next most major river. Thanks.

    Well, if you have the Magdalena and Cauca, then the one you're missing is the Orinoco (which might be even more important than the first two....) Good luck!

Length: Orinoco (1,306 miles, although not all of them are in the Colombia-Venezuela border, some end up in Guyana), Putumayo (979 miles, although not all of them are in Brazil), Magdalena (963 miles), Cauca (839 miles), Guaviare (652). Amazon doesn't count IMO because only 74 miles of it are in Colombia (i.e. 1.87% of its total). Economic importance: Magdalena, Cauca and ... well, it's debatable, maybe Orinoco indeed. Poliitical importance: Orinoco (it marks the Colombia - Venezuela limit), Magdalena (loads of conflicts in its basin), Amazon (separates Colombia from Brazil).
